Covering Property

تعريف (الغطاء) : ليكن $G_i \subset X,\;i \in I\}$ تجمع لمجموعات جزئية من مجموعة X . يقال أن M تمثل غطاء أو تغطية cover للمجموعة $A\subset X$ إذا كان

$A \subset \mathop \cup \limits_{i \in I} G_i$

وإذا كانت عناصر التجمع M مجموعات مفتوحة سمي غطاء مفتوح open cover كما يسمى غطاء منتهي إذا كان له عدد منتهي من العناصر. كل مجموعة جزئية من M تغطي B تسمى غطاء جزئي.
