يقبل العدد الصحيح القسمة على العدد 3 إذا وإذا فقط كان مجموع أرقامه يقبل القسمة على 3. بلغة الرموز نقول أن العدد الطبيعي [tex]a_n a_{n - 1} \ldots a_2 a_1 [/tex] المكتوب في صورته المعتادة,(آحاد , عشرات , ...) يقبل القسمة على 3 إذا وإذا فقط كان المجموع

[tex]a_n + a_{n - 1} + \ldots + a_2 + a_1 [/tex]

يقبل القسمة على 3. هذا يعني أنه يوجد عدد طبيعي M بحيث

[tex]a_n + a_{n - 1} + \ldots + a_2 + a_1 = 3M[/tex]

مثال1: العدد 12345 يقبل القسمة على 3 لأن

1+2+3+4+5=15=3(5)

مجموع أرقامه يقبل القسمة على 3 . بينما العدد 122 لا يقبل القسمة على 3 لأن مجموع أرقامه 5 والعدد 5 لا يقبل القسمة على 3.

إثبات اختبار قابلية القسمة على 3:

ليكن [tex]a_n a_{n - 1} \ldots a_2 a_1 [/tex] عدد طبيعي مكتوب في صورة معتادة (آحاد , عشرات , ...). نكتب هذا العدد في التمثيل العشري

[tex]a_n a_{n - 1} \ldots a_2 a_1 = 10^{n - 1} a_n + 10^{n - 2} a_{n - 1} + \cdots + 10^1 a_2 + a_1[/tex]

[tex]= (\underbrace {99 \cdots 9}_{n - 1{\rm{ times}}}a_n + a_n ) + (\underbrace {99 \cdots 9}_{n - 2{\rm{ times}}}a_{n - 1} + a_{n - 1} ) + \cdots + (9a_2 + a_2 ) + a_1 [/tex]

[tex]= \underbrace {99 \cdots 9}_{n - 1{\rm{ times}}}a_n + \underbrace {99 \cdots 9}_{n - 2{\rm{ times}}}a_{n - 1} + \cdots + 9a_2 + (a_n + a_{n - 1} + \cdots + a_1 )[/tex]

في السطر الأخير, كل الحدود خارج القوس^[م] تقبل القسمة على 3 لأنها من مضاعفاته وبالتالي مجموعها يقبل القسمة على 3 . إذا العامل الذي يحدد قابلية القسمة على 3 هو المجموع

[tex]a_n + a_{n - 1} + \cdots + a_1[/tex]

والذي يمثل مجموع أرقام العدد وهذا يثبت قاعدة قابلية القسمة على 3.

إثبات آخر

باستخدام مفهوم التطابق معيار 3 . نلاحظ أن [tex]10 \equiv 1(\bmod 3)[/tex] وعليه فإن

[tex]10^m \equiv 1^m (\bmod 3) \Rightarrow 10^m a \equiv a(\bmod 3),\quad \forall m,a \in \mathbb{N}[/tex]

إذا

[tex]10^{n - 1} a_n + 10^{n - 2} a_{n - 1} + \cdots + 10^1 a_2 + a_1 \equiv a_n + a_{n - 1} + \cdots + a_1 (\bmod 3)[/tex]

إذا

[tex]a_n a_{n - 1} \ldots a_2 a_1 \equiv a_n + a_{n - 1} + \cdots + a_1 (\bmod 3)[/tex]

إذا باقي قسمة العدد على 3 يساوي [tex]a_n + a_{n - 1} + \cdots + a_1 [/tex] وبالتالي يقبل العدد القسمة على 3 إذا وفقط إذا كان مجموع أرقامه يقبل القسمة على 3.
